She was born 8 Sep 1908 in El Dorado, Butler Co., Kansas. She married her first husband John HAVERSTICK in a den of lions in Lansing, MI. Her hobby was collecting earring and she had collected over 8,150 pair of earrings when she died. Her son, Russell Haverstick, put them in a display trailer and had the trailer at his house. I, Marcia Shears, remember (great) Aunt Goldie taking all of us kids at the yearly family reunion for an ice cream cone. Her sister (great) Aunt Ethel Armstrong went to help supervise the kids, but she said Goldie paid for all of the ice cream. The kids all loved her.
