DAVID FINCH, DIED Feb. 22, 1848, Aged 52 y’rs 6 m’s, & 15 d’s. Friend after friend departs Who hath not lost a friend There is no union here of hearts That finds not here an end. Erected by his son William Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord. (footstone) D.F. Additional Notes: The Reverend David Finch’s tombstone was erected by his son William. He also had another son named Seth B., who was also a Reverend. David was married to Mary A. Finch and their six children were William, Seth, Adelaid, Emily, Emma, and Sally Ann. David Finch settled on part of Section 35, Alaiedon Township in 1840. He was the local minister.
