If you look closely at the photo you can see the “dirt” image of a civil war soldier between the 9 and MICH on the tombstone. John Hasbrouck CO C 9 MICH INF Additional Comments: John Hiram Hasbrouck Born 26 Oct 1836 New Paltz, Ulster County, New York Died 28 Nov 1903 Williamston, Meridian Township, Ingham County, Michigan His wife was Juliet (aka Julia E.) Dutcher b. 1840 d. 1879 They had seven children together and lived together in Alaiedon Township for 11 years. John Hasbrouck served as a private in Civil War Company C 9th Michigan Infantry. John Hasbrouck’s parents were Rebecca (DuBois) and Hiram Hasbrouck.
