(footstone present but illegible due to erosion)

Additional Comments:
George W. Phelps (born 02/26/1824, died 04/25/1888) was the son of Joseph and 
Sally (called Sarah) Young, the husband of Mahala Jane (Blanchard) Phelps, and 
the father of John M. Phelps.  George served in the Civil War in Company B, 
7th Regiment, Michigan Infantry.

George W. Phelps was born in 1824 in New York USA, died April 25, 1888 in Ingham County, Michigan USA and buried in
Dubois Cemetery, Mason, Ingham, Michigan USA.
He married Mahala Jane Blanchard about 1850 in New York USA and had seven children: E.B, Isadore "Dora", Isabel
"Bell", George G, Martha J, Harriet H. and Judson H. Phelps.
