Ralph C. Backus son of Chancy Ralph Backus and Jane Bell Marshall was born on
May 21, 1867 in Unadilla Township, Livingston, Michigan USA, died in 1924 in 
Michigan USA and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA.
He married Edith C. Snively on May 11, 1892 in Mason, Ingham, Michigan USA and 
they had two daughters: Edna and Grace Ethlyn Backus (Graydon Otis Collar).
