                         Hannah E. Backus
                            1832 - 1873

Hannah E. "Newkirk" Backus daughter of John Newkirk and Elizabeth Acker was born
on May 21, 1832 in Niagara Falls, Erie, New York USA. She died on May 12, 1873
in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, 
Ingham, Michigan USA. She married first Frederick Briggs on March 18, 1849 in 
Stockbridge, Ingham, Michigan USA and then Jared Backus on May 24, 1858 in Ingham 
County, Michigan USA and had a son Benoni B. Backus (Elizabeth C).
