                              John Dakin
                              1806 - 1853

John Dakin son of Elisha Dakin and Fanny VanVelson was born on April 18, 1806 in 
Friendship, Allegany, New York USA. He died on October 11, 1853 in Dansville, 
Ingham, Michigan USA and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, Ingham, 
Michigan USA. He married Amarillas Southworth on November 25, 1830 in 
Clarksville, Allegany, New York, USA and they had nine children: Isaiah J.
(Margaret Eggleston), William Henry Harrison (Isidore Riggs), John DeWitt (Eliza
Maria Walker), Frances "Fanny" Lavina (Joseph Norman Dempsey), Nathan Henry 
(Mary Williams), Harvey Alonzo (Harriett E. Williams), Rachael Maria
(Joseph Rouse), Rebecca Elizabeth (John Wesley Dempsey) and Catherine Josephine
Dakin (Albert C. Haight).
