                           William Henry Dakin
                               1840 - 1913

William Henry Dakin son of Judson Anson Dakin and Polly Hall (Huftalin) was born
on October 24, 1840 in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. He died on February 1, 
1913 in Santa Rosa, Sonoma, California USA and buried at Santa Rosa Odd Fellows 
Cemetery, Santa Rosa, Sonoma, California USA. He enlisted in the Civil War as a 
PRIVATE, Company B, 26th Regiment, Michigan Infantry and mustered out as a 
CORPORAL June 4, 1965. It is believed he has a military tombstone in his honor in 
Section 2, Lot 153 space 6 with H. H. Dakin on his stone (instead of W. H. Dakin 
if this is the same person) at Fairview Cemetery based on the military records 
matching. On September 14, 1869 in Susanville, Lassen, California USA he married 
Marietta Smith who was born in Maine USA.
