                           George W. Dayton
                              1858 - 1937

George W. Dayton son of Aaron Dayton and Eleanor "Ellen" Smith was born on
May 4, 1858 in Ontario, Canada. On May 15, 1937 in Dansville, Ingham, 
Michigan USA he died of diabetes mellitus and chronic nephritis and buried 
at Fairview Cemetery, Section 3 Lot 505 in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. 
In 1881 he married Clara "Carrie" May Sayles and they had four children: 
Deletha (Otis Myron Updyke), Lina May, Vernard "Vern" Roy (Vera E. Putnam - 
Casterlin) and Isma Irene Dayton. Clara died on October 15, 1924 and he 
remarried in 1926 to Bessie Knox. Both wives are buried with him.
