                           Dr. Joseph Deville Dennis
                                 1832 - 1929

Dr. Joseph Deville Dennis son of James Pattin Dennis and Sarah "Sally" Carl was 
born on September 3, 1832 in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan USA, died on June 12,
1929 in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan USA and buried at Fairview Cemetery, 
Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. He married Ellen M. in 1855 and they had two 
children: Emma Ellen (Francis Marion Otis)and Sarah J.(William Henry Butcher). 
Ellen died January 5, 1890 and he married Augusta Theresa on December 16, 1864 
in Tuscola, Tuscola, Michigan USA and later divorced. He then married Alzina 
"Rosina" J. Groton on October 6, 1866 in Tuscola, Tuscola, Michigan USA and she 
had three children: Gilbert B, Ella A. and Joseph "Joda" D. Dennis.
