                            Leah May Evans
                             1920 - 1927

Leah May Evans daughter of Wesley R. Evans (son of Clark Evans & Esther 
Winters) and Clara Etta Barnhart (daughter of Leo Mont Barnhart & Julia 
Electa Forbes) was born on August 30, 1920 in Ingham County, Michigan USA 
according to her death certificate. Her tombstone has 1921 engraved for her 
birth year. On April 4, 1927 in Mason, Ingham, Michigan USA she died from 
contracting the measles which progressed into pneumonia and buried at 
Fairview Cemetery, Section 3 Lot 512S in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. 
Her mother Clara who was a practical nurse was married three times first to
Winfield Rowland on January 3, 1913 in Mancelona, Antrim, Michigan USA by           
                  
Fred W. Allen, Congregational Minister with witnesses Mrs. Hill and Mrs. 
Stwartz Miller and they had two sons: Clifford Leo Rowland (Shirley Mae 
Herrington)(Grace Bell Brennan) and Frederick "Fred" Rowland (Donna Estella 
Bateman). Her second husband was Wesley R. Evans and they were married on 
July 9, 1920 in Mancelona, Antrim, Michigan USA by R. C. Parshall, Minister 
with witnesses Verna Mullins and Nellie Branan. They had three children: 
Leah May, Dewayne Richard (Mary Jane) and Gerald W. Evans (Betty Jean 
Modlin). Clara married her third husband Ralph A. Stid on April 4, 1939 in 
Mason, Ingham, Michigan USA by Paul C. Rowe, Justice of the Peace with 
witnesses F. & N. Rowland and Donna Rowland. They had no children together 
and they are both buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mason, Ingham, Michigan 
USA.
