                               Ira Gifford
                               1807 - 1885

Ira Gifford son of John and Pheobe Gifford was born on January 21 1807 in
Northumberland, Saratoga, New York USA. He died on August 28, 1885 in Leroy
Township, Ingham, Michigan USA and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Section 2 Lot 
269 space 5 in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. In 1835 in New York USA he
married Abigail Grimes and they had five children: John W. (Zilpha Ann Fish),
Phoebe Ann (Jason H. Cadwell), David E. (Mary Ellen Chappel), James Oscar
(Sarah Elizabeth Williams) and Francis H. Gifford. After Abigail died on 
March 18, 1852 Ira remarried to Elizabeth Leroy Johnson and they had three 
sons: Ira M, Charles E. and William J. Gifford (Carrie J. Bentley).
