He was a railroad conductor. On March 29, 1933 in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan USA he died at his daughter's home of cerebral apoplexy and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Section 3 Lot 420 space 1 in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. On July 3, 1873 in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan USA by Alex McLean, Minister with witnesses Ebenezer Crossman and Mrs. Crossman he married Mary Ann Jackson and they had three children: Maud Mae (Charles Edward Campbell), Myrtle and Earl Samuel Hayhoe (Sebie A.
