                          Ambrose Preston Hicks
                               1810 - 1896

Ambrose Preston Hicks son of Zephaniah Hicks and Polly Preston was born on 
November 10, 1810 in Homer, Cortland, New York USA. He died on April 29, 1896 in
Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, 
Ingham, Michigan USA. He married Caroline Betts on March 6, 1836 in Washtenaw
County, Michigan USA and they had seven children: Charles L. (Catherine Cheney),
Uriah (Mary Cushman), Francis H, Ira Newton, Merritt O. (Nancy Elizabeth "Emma"
Booth), Laura M. (Franklin Ewers) and Agnes C. Hicks. Caroline died in 1860 and
Ambrose remarried on December 1, 1861 to Mary "May" Ann Soule - Whipple.
