                              James A. Johnston
                                 1863 - 1914

James A. Johnston son of James Johnston and Mary Jane Armitage was born on 
January 14, 1863 in Ontario, Canada. He died on March 22, 1914 in Ingham County,
Michigan USA and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. 
He first married Matilda Baker daughter of David Baker and Charlotte Lemon on
March 31, 1886 in Mount Pleasant, Isabella, Michigan USA and they had a baby
that was born and died on September 3, 1888. His wife Matilda died in childbirth 
the same day. James remarried to Hattie Jessop on July 26, 1894 in Ingham 
Township, Ingham, Michigan USA and they had a daughter, Mildred Bernetia 
Johnston (Kenneth John Ickes).
