                               JAMES EDWARD NORTON
                                   1921 - 1978

James Edward Norton son of Homer Christopher Smith and Grace Genett McMahon was 
born on April 26, 1921 in Shelbyville, Shelby, Illinois USA. He died on September 
30, 1978 in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan USA and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Section 
5, Lot 21N in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. On October 3, 1942 in Lansing, 
Ingham, Michigan USA by William E. Steih, Pastor with witnesses Homer C. Norton 
and Carol M. Norton he married Mildred "Millie" Viola Smith and they had three 
children: James Edward Norton Jr.(Sandra Kay Wallis), Michael H. Norton (Mary S. 
Hannibal) and John Henry Norton.
