                                1899 - 1960

Merle Jay Otis was born on February 23, 1899 in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA to
Leonard E. Otis and Mina May Sawyer. He died on February 1, 1960 in Michigan USA 
and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. He married 
Frances Muriel Warfle on August 3, 1920 in Mason, Ingham, Michigan USA and they 
had three children: Ellen Louise, Glada Jean and Richard Merle Otis.
