     Sarah Otis
     1804 - 1889

Sarah "Carl" Otis nicknamed Sally was born on November 7, 1804 in Mount Vernon,
Kennebec, Maine USA to Enoch Carl and Susannah Leighton. She died on March 1,
1889 in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA and buried at Fairview Cemetery,
Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. She married James Pattin Dennis in 1824 in
Lyons, Ontario, New York USA and had four sons: James P.(Abigail Garrison), Dr.
Joseph Deville (Ellen M.)(Augusta T. Burrows)(Alzina J. Gorton), Benjamin Dennis
and John Dix Dennis (Adeline Harriet Granger). She later married Paul Otis on
November 10, 1839 in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw, Michigan USA and had four more
children: Martin VanBuren (Artimesia Mary Philo), Ann Maria "Mary" (Aretus
Swan)(Edward W. Sedwick), Albert Otis 1845-1862 and Mary Jane Otis (George
Carr)(Benjamin J. Coulston).
