                             Sarah Harrison Race
                                 1822 - 1887

Sarah Harrison "Reason" Race daughter of George W. Reason and Sarah Brown was 
born on September 27, 1822 in Barr's Lane, Whittlesey, England. On October 2, 
1887 in Corunna, Shiawasee, Michigan USA she died at her sister Harriett's house 
and buried at Fairview Cemetery, Section 2 Lot 151 in Dansville, Ingham, 
Michigan USA. She first married William Alexander Havens on October 1, 1842 in 
Stockbridge, Ingham, Michigan USA and they had seven children: Henry, Infant, 
Sarah Louisa (Joseph Storey)(Silas Philips Warner), Lorry Sophean, Charles 
Vernon (Eliza Jane Ewers)(Susan Drake), George Harris (Ida M. Sias) and William 
Arthur Havens (Marguerite "Maggie" Jane Bell)(Ida M. Sias). After William died
on March 20, 1855 she remarried to Charles Arnold on May 24, 1857 in 
Stockbridge, Ingham, Michigan USA and they had two daughters: Mary Ann Arnold
(William B. Lester) and Iola "Ida" Arena Arnold (Carl Haun). Cemetery records 
show Sarah's plot was registered under the name of Mrs. W. B. Lester which is 
her daughter's married name. Sarah later remarried to Loami Race on June 29, 
1887 in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. Her tombstone has the married name of 
Race engraved on it. Her last husband, Loami Race, died on February 8, 1899 in
Rives Township, Jackson, Michigan USA and is buried at Cole Cemetery, Rives, 
Jackson, Michigan USA.
