                            Edward James Stilwell
                                 1879 - 1946

Edward James Stilwell son of Abner James Stilwell and Elizabeth Dayton was 
born on September 27, 1879 in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA. He died on 
April 9, 1946 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan USA and buried at Fairview 
Cemetery, Section 2 Lot 287 in Dansville, Ingham, Michigan USA with no 
visible marker for his grave. His father was appointed postmaster on June 1, 
1893 in Pere Cheney, Crawford, Michigan USA. His parents were married July 
27, 1879 in Webberville, Ingham, Michigan USA and later divorced on November 
22, 1930 in Ingham County, Michigan USA. His mother died at his home the 
following year on March 24, 1931 in Detroit, Wayne, Michigan USA. Edward 
first married May Bell "Mabel" VanAmberg on March 10, 1897 in Grayling, 
Crawford, Michigan USA by Robert McElroy, Justice of the Peace with 
witnesses Bert Wait and Ada VanAmberg and they had six children: Eula Marie 
(Bert R. Hollingsworth), Lee Abner (Lottie Winifred Forbes), Homer Edward 
(Edith Betz), Ethel E. (Floyd P. Conrad), Ola Lucille (Odis Virgil Josey) 
and Arnold Douglas Stilwell. Edward remarried on May 7, 1922 in Frederic, 
Crawford, Michigan USA by William Techune, Clergyman with witnesses Mrs. 
Clara Rowe and Mrs. J. Elliott to Rose Cadwell (Alvin Ritter).
