WASHBURN DIED Jan. 22, 1868 64 Y & 10 M’s 8D Footstone Reading: M. W. Additional Comments: WASHBURN, Manford; 1805-1868; second wife was Abagail Washburn. They were the parents of Rosealetta, Electa, Ladesca, and Herbert A. Washburn. Manford was born in Oneida, New York, to Martin and Martha Washburn. He owned 140 acres on Sandhill Road near the cemetery. Occupation: farmer. He died of lung fever in Alaiedon Township: State Death Record: Ledger page 161, #38. Michigan Dept. of Community Health Genealogical Death Indexing System lists Manford's last name as being spelled "Washburne." In a notation from a previous cemetery reading, it is stated that daughter Ladesca married Peter Bennett, Jr., son of Peter Bennett; who was the son of John Bennett.
