Alva J. Howe was the son of Thomas D. and Henrietta "Ettie A. (Howes) Howe.  
He was born in Aurelius Township, Ingham County, Michigan February 24, 1878,  
His occupation was stonemaker.  He married Hazel (maiden name unknown) about 
1903 probably in Ingham County, Michigan.  Hazel was born 1887 in Canada and 
died May 4, 1949.  She was buried on May 6, 1949 in Greenwood Cemetery, 
Aurelius Township, Ingham County, Michigan.  Alva J. Howe died July 8, 1962 of 
a heart attack in Ingham County, Michigan and buried next to Hazel in 
Greenwood Cemetery, Aurelius Township, Ingham County, Michigan.
