UPTON 1851 - 1911 FINETTA J. UPTON 1848 - 1926 BELOVED MOTHER AND GRANDMOTHER SHIRLEY A. (UPTON) VANBROCKLIN FEB 6, 1942 JUNE 29, 1998 Note: Doris E. Upton death certificate shows he was the son of Eli and Adeline (Ford) Upton, male, white, married, born February 25, 1850 Michigan and passed away February 9, 1911 in Wheatfield Township, Ingham Co., MI at the age of 59 years 11 months and 10 days, cause of death suicide by hanging. Informant was Ernest Upton and burial was on February 12, 1911 in Leek Cemetery. Finetta J. (Bedell) Upton obituary in Ingham Co. News dated June 10, 1926, states that she was born September 3, 1848 in New York and passed away June 2, 1926. She came to Michigan about 51 years ago following her married to Doris Eli Upton. She is survived by two children, Mrs. L. C. Laycock of Haslett and Ernest B. Upton of Wheatfield, five grandchildren and one great grandchild; one brother, Edmond Bedell of Battle Creek. Interment was in Leek Cemetery in Alaiedon Township. Funeral services were held from Wheatfield Center Church on Saturday, June 5, 1926.
