L. CHAPIN 1840 - 1899 KATHERINE T. 1849 - 1926 JAMES R. 1884 - 1887 HELLEN F. 1877 - 1883 EDWARD R. 1887 - 1911 NOTE: Henry Levin Chapin was the son of Almon Morris and Jane (Pease) Chapin. He was born April 6, 1840 in Lakeville, Livingston Co., NY and died on September 13, 1899 in Mason, Ingham Co., MI. He married Katherine "Kate" Thompson on October 30, 1870. They were the parents of (according to census records) Nelly F., Harry L., Edward R., James R., Hellen F., Charlotte I. and Emery Thompson Chapin. Charlotte I. Chapin Clarke and her husband William J. Clarke as well as brother Emery T. Chapin are also buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Section J. Katherine "Kate" Thompson Chapin was born in England. Date of birth and date of death unknown at this time. According to census records, all of her children were born in Michigan. 1900 census records Mason Ward 1, Ingham Co., MI shows she was the mother of seven children, four living. She immigrated to the United State in the year of 1851 and was a widow.
