COULSTON MONUMENT

The following headstones are located near the Coulston Monument:

CHARLOTTE P.
1856 - 1933

SIDNEY R.
1874 - 1933

Note:  Sidney R. Coulston was the son of Parley and Lillian (Daggett) Coulston.
He was born April 29, 1874 in White Oak, Ingham Co., MI and died on August 5, 
1933 in Mason, Ingham Co., MI.  He married Charlotte Pauline Bowdish on April 
6, 1898.

Charlotte Pauline Bowdish was the daughter of William Ferdinand Bowdish and 
Mary Adelaide (Miller) Stillman.  She was born October 25, 1856 in Waterloo, 
Jackson Co., MI and died on April 8, 1933 in Mason, Ingham Co., MI.  Besides 
being married to Sidney R. Coulston, she was also married to William Taylor 
Rose  and Van Ranslaer Ramsdell.  

William Taylor Rose and Charlotte Pauline (Bowdish) Rose were the parents of 
Nellie Pearl Rose Riggs (1878-1957).  

Van Ranslaer Ramsdell and Charlotte Pauline (Bowdish) Ramsdell were the 
parents of Guy Jay Ramsdell (1884-1938), Miles Waldo Ramsdill (1885-1957), 
Orson Baxter Ramsdill (1888-1948), and Grace Edna Ramsdell Adams (1890-1919).

The above information came from Dutch Ramsdell on Find A Grave.  I don't know 
why Ramsdell/Ramsdill was spelled differently but the headstones of some show 
the different spellings of the last name.
