EAMES MONUMENT

Epitaph on monument reads as follows:

DANIEL J. EAMES II AD3 USN
1931 - 1953
LOST AT SEA SUNDAY MARCH 22, 1953
WHILE ON SUBMARINE PATROL OFF PUERTO RICO

"IN EVERY RESPECT, EAMES WAS A CREDIT TO 
HIS SQUADRON, THE NAVAL SERVICE 
AND TO HIS COUNTRY.  WHEN THE GOING
WAS ROUGH, HIS CHEERFULNESS HELPED
BRING US THROUGH."

Note: Daniel J. Eames was born June 21, 1901 and passed away August 18, 1980 
Lansing, Ingham Co., MI (SSDI)  He was the son of John W. and Jennie Eames.

Thelma Vietta Beaumont was the daughter of George and Effa Floy (Felton) 
Beaumont.  She was born November 1, 1903 Mason, Ingham Co., MI and died April 
18, 1977 Lansing, Ingham Co., MI.  She married Daniel J. Eames on March 23, 
1924.  They were the parents of three children, Daniel Eames II, Beverly Eames 
Thompson and Living Eames.

Daniel J. Eames II was born June 23, 1931 and lost at sea March 22, 1953.

Beverly (Eames) Thompson was born June 26, 1927 and passed away July 10, 1988.
