JUNE 10, 1833 MAR 18, 1928 DIED AUG 7, 1912 DIED SEP 11, 1900 NOTE: U.S. Civil War records shows that he enlisted in Hamburg, Michigan at the age of 34 on August 15, 1862 in Company E Michigan 26 Infantry Regiment and mustered out July 31, 1863 in Washington D.C. It also showed he diedon September 11, 1900. The headstone is becoming eroded and was hard to read the inscription and could not make out where William Gregg was born however census records shows that he was born in Canada.
