Lester E. Jewett was the son of Joseph Porter and Maranda (Freer) Jewett.  He 
was born July 24, 1835 in Ontario Co., NY and died May 29, 1922 Aurelius, 
Ingham Co., MI.  He married Caroline A. Fletcher in 1866 and they were the 
parents of four children, William, Jennie, George and Frank.
