Note:  Robert Moon was born 1842 in Pennsylvania and passed away June 22, 1893 
in Mason, Ingham Co., MI.  The newspaper, Ingham County Democrat, has an 
article that Robert Moon, aged 51, died as a result of suicide by taking opium 
and alcohol.  He was a penniless miller and was despondent on account of being 
out of work.  His wife, Mrs. Moon, was a domestic at the Horton Hotel.  There 
are two grown children.

The Ingham Co. News for June 29, 1893 shows Robert Moon funeral was held last 
Saturday.  He was a veteran of the war of the rebellion, aged 51 years, and 
had been a resident of Mason for many years.  He leaves a widow, one daughter 
and one son.

1880 census shows his wife  Ellen born May 1847 New York, daughter, Josephine, 
born 1875 and son George born August 1867.
