NELSON MONUMENT

The following headstones are located near the monument:

THOMAS
1886 - 1918

BESSIE HIS WIFE
1863 - 1893

SAMUEL
1860 - 1903

Note:  Samuel Nelson death certificate shows his father's last name only as 
Nelson, white, male, married, parent of 3 children, 3 living, was born in 
Ireland May 7, 1860, occupation electric cars, died October 12, 1903 in 
Lansing, Ingham Co., MI at the age of 43 years 5 months and 12 days, cause of 
death electrocution.  Burial was on October 14, 1903 in Maple Grove Cemetery.

1900 Census Mason Ward 1 Ingham Co., MI shows Thomas G. Nelson, age 12, born 
Oct 1887 MI as the son of Samuel L. and Lucy E. Nelson.  Also shows a Mae 
Nelson, age 11, and Mabel Nelson, age 8, and Antoinette Ferguson, age 53.
