Note: Samuel Reed was born July 1, 1835 near Lindsey, Sandusky Co., Ohio and passed away March 17, 1906 in Mason, Ingham Co., MI. He married Hannah Maria Ohlinger on June 27, 1858 and they were parents of five children, Sarah (died at the age of 2) Noah Franklin, William H., Peter B. and May L. Reed. He enlisted in the Civil War in the spring of 1864 in Company K OVA from his named County and served until the part of the year when he mustered out with the rest of the Company.
