Note:  Elmer E. Stroup and Johnny Stroup were the sons of John and Mary Stroup

Michigan Genealogical Death Indexing System showed John Stroup, born in PA, 
male, white, married, farmer, parents Michael and Sarah Stroup, died 29 Aug 
1889 in Vevay, Ingham Co., MI at the age of 75 years 3 months and 6 days, 
cause of death, old age and rupture.

Mary Stroup, his wife, was born about 1807 in PA
