Long and Phebe, wife of Wm., are from different sides of the same stone. This stone was very worn and difficult to read. Another photo is posted showing the entire stone under a large tree. Additional Comments: William 3 Long ( William Long2, Zachariah Long1) born Abt. March 22, 1815 in Prescott Co. Ontario; died August 01, 1888 in Delhi, Ingham Co., Michigan, son of William Long and Abigail Smith; married Phoebe Thompson; born Abt. 1820 in NY; died January 18, 1890 in Ingham Co, Michigan. (William's parents and siblings moved from Prescott Co. Ontario to Chatham, Quebec. In History of Ingham and Eaton Counties, Michigan by Samuel W. Durant William is referred to as a native of Lower Canada.) William's parents are listed on his death certificate as William Long and Abigail Long. Ingham County News; Mason, Michigan; Thu. Aug.9-1888, page 8, column 2. DELHI The funeral of Wm. Long was held from his late residence last Friday afternoon and was largely attended by many sorrowing friends. Rev. Luther Littell of Morrice preached a very able discourse from the following text: 2 Cor. 5; 1. "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."
