Long are two sides of another stone a few yards in front of the William/ Phoebe stone. (These stones were close to the highway.) First side was Dennis E. Long Sept. 25 1826-July 10, 1899 with Jennie D. Cole His wife Mar. 14, 1827 - Feb. 8, 1919 below his name. On the second side was William H. Long (their son) March 9, 1855 - Jan. 3, 1887. Next to this stone was a stone that just said Mother. Additional Comments: Dennis E.3 Long ( William Long2, Zachariah Long1) born September 25, 1826 in Canada; died July 10, 1899 in Delhi, Ingham Co., Michigan; son of William Long and Abigail Smith; married Jane "Jennie" D. Cole Abt. 1854 in Michigan; born March 14, 1827 in Canada; died February 08, 1919 in Ingham Co, Michigan, daughter of Solomon Cole. Ingham Co., Mich. Death Records, Book 2, page 247: Rec. Holt Mr. Den Long died of dropsy Monday morning. He was an old resident and very highly respected. Ingham County News; Mason, Michigan; Thursday Feb.13, 1919, page 1, column 6. Woman Resident Of Holt Over Seventy Years Dies Mrs. Jennie Long, Aged 98 Years, Died Saturday Mrs. Jennie Long, died at her home north of Holt, Saturday morning. She is the last of the pioneer women, who came to Holt over seventy years ago with her husband, Dennis Long. They came by stage through the unsettled country to Holt, where they purchased a farm, cleared it and have lived there ever since. She has always enjoyed the best of health until the last few weeks. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Eunice Service, one grand-daughter, Mrs. Earl Lamereaux and three great-grandchildren, Leonard, Kenneth and Robert Lamereaux. The funeral services were at the home Monday at 2 o'clock, interment at Maple Ridge cemetery.
