Soule Date Of Photograph: October 17, 2005 Photo can be seen at: http://www.usgwarchives.net/mi/ingham/photos/tombstones/mounthope/soule22568gph.jpg Image file size: 141.2 Kb Located in Section Q on one headstone: Electa J. Soule, wife of J. W. Soule, b. 1815 - d. 1855 Chas. H. Soule, b. 1846 - d. 1852 Info from Tim @ cartim831@aol.com: Electa is his gr gr gr grandmother. On Ancestry.com they are indexed as Soulis. They are in Livonia, Wayne County, MI page 349 family # 21. The family at this time consists of: John age 46, Electa 34, George 10(my 2nd gr grandfather), Lyman 7, Charles 3 and Franklin 2. The family purchased land in the Redford, Wayne Co area in the 1830's and sometime in the 1840's sold out and bought land in Stockbridge Twp in Ingham Co. Why they are in Livonia in 1850 I don't know. It might have something to do with their finances at that time. I figured Electa and son Charles must have been buried in one of the local cemeteries in that area and were moved to Mt Hope at a later time. By 1860, after her death the family was scattered, with John and Franklin living with John's oldest daughter Frances (from his first marriage) in Flint. George was in Henrietta Twp in Jackson Co, and Lyman (actual name Levi Lyman) in Meridian Twp in Ingham Co. The child born in 1855 was named John Milford Soule. He was adopted by a family named Douglas and was in Delhi Twp in Ingham Co.
