marker for phillip millis, life long resident of leroy township, ingham county 
michigan. phillips was a farmer, he grew up on elm road, farmer at corner of 
holt road/M-52 and purchased a farm on then stockbridge road, now M-52 
directly north of noble road.  phillip served as township supervisior for 
leroy township from 1942-1962, then served on the ingham county road 
commission from 1964-1974. I-96 took approx 40 acres of the farm in 1961. the 
Millis farmstead is now the site of a large grocery warehouse operated by the 
Aldi company. is now
