I thought I shouldn't write untill I had received a letter from home but I don't know but I will have to wate untill I received answer from this. Andrew got a letter the first of last week. It started that you had sent me some silver. I guess some person has fell heir to it and ain't going to let me know anything about it. I saw Andrew, Richard and William today, they are all well. Waines Minier is writing on the other side of the table, writing to Ann. I was on picket yesterday and exist (continued on page 2) Additional Comments: From my 3rd gruncle John S. Little Jr. It was Written to his sister Lovina Little. John Enlisted as a pvt. Company A, 21st Infantry, Unit 1098. Aug 12 1862, Ronald Twp. Ionia County, MI, served active Sept. 3rd 1862, Promoted May 03rd 1865 to full Corporal, Discharged Jun 8th 1865 in Washington D.C. He was born in 1838, Chippewa Twp., Wayne County, OH. Died Dec. 04 1882 in Ionia CO. MI.
