Charlotte Observer, North Carolina March 7, 1907
Ionia, Mich. March 6 - The Ionia county poor house, located four miles from this
city, burned this afternoon.  There were 60 inmates in the house at the time,
but it is thought all have been rescued. There was no fire protection at the
poor farm. The building was valued at $11,000.
