Lake Superior Review And Weekly Tribune February 18, 1887
A Lyons, Mich. school teacher, one Isreal Quinn Rounds, inaugurated the system 
of punishing the girls of his school for misdemeanors by kissing them. 
Immediately after, the big girls began to act like fury and required 
punishment frequently. Then the trustees inaugurated the system of kicking the 
teacher out of the school house, and it was necessary to perform that 
operation just once. That settled the teacher.
