STRUCK SCHOOL HOUSE.
Ionia, Mich., May 26-Lightening struck the Armstrong school house northeast of
Ionia just before school let out yesterday afternoon. The bolt struck the
teacher, Miss Mabel Kendall, tearing off her shoes and stockings and splintering
the floor where she stood. It then capered around, knocking the chairs and
tables over and finally went out a window. Miss Kendall was unconscious for some
time, but will probably recover and not a scholar of the twenty was injured.
