Shaver at a late hour a few nights ago. Shaver said that Aldrich made a signal to call his wife out of doors, but he heard it himself and coaxed his wife into firing the shot. Aldrich will recover. Mrs. Shaver is scarely 20, while her husband is past 70. For some time he has been disturbed by young men who come to the house to see his wife. The old man said he has been advised by neighbors to use violence. He is getting blind and he therefore ordered his wife to use the gun. After the affair it has been given out that Aldrich had fallen into a cattle guard and had received his injuried there. Last night there was more shooting in the Shaver neighborhood, but the party aimed at escaped unhurt.
