Grand Rapids Press October 5, 1901
Lyons, Mich., Oct. 5.-The Ash-Harper Company has been organized here with a
capital of $11,000, to engage in the manufacture of gasoline engines and
automobiles. It has purchased a site near the Pere Marquette railroad and let
the contract for the erection of the factory building which will be 40 by 150
feet in size and is to be completed by December 1. Messrs. Ash and Harper are
now manufacturing engines at Lansing and will move their business to this village.
