She had been ill three years. She was born December 5, 1873 in Waterville, Kan., the daughter of Gilmore and Alice Grant Todd. She came to Michigan with her parents as a small child and lived on a farm near Morley. She was employed at the Belding Silk Mills until her marriage February 4, 1894 to Will Abbey. They resided in Belding 12 years and another 12 years on a farm in Ronald township. Mrs. Abbey had lived at her present home the past 34 years. Her husband died in 1949. Mrs. Abbey was a member of Royal Neighbor lodge of Belding. Survivors are a son, Harold of route three, Orleans township and two grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at the Boynton funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. . with the Rev. Theodore Timler of St. John Lutheran church officiating and burial in the family lot at Palo Cemetery.
