Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Mon. Oct. 21, 1974


George C. Abbott, 84, died Saturday at the Ionia County Memorial hospital. He 
had been a patient at the Early American Nursing home on East Main seven years.

He was born June 24, 1890, and had lived all his life in the Hubbardston and 
Matherton areas as a farm laborer.

His only survivor is a nephew of Lansing.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 11 am at the Stone-Kauffman funeral 
home. Rev. Marvis Hale officiated, and interment was at East Plains cemetery
