Ionia Sentinel Standard, 21 Sep 1953

Mrs. Mary Estella Abbott, 73, Lake Odessa Route 1 died unexpectedly Sunday,
Sept. 20 at 5:15 p.m.

She was a life long resident of this area and was born August 17, 1880 in Odessa
township the daughter of Merritt and Anne Haight.

Her husband, John, died two years ago.  They had lived on the same farm for the
past 38 years.  Surviving are one son, Nelson at home and one sister, Mrs. John
Sullivan of Ionia.

She reposes at the Pickens funeral chapel where services will be held Tuesday,
Sept. 22 at 2 p.m.  Burial will be at Fuller cemetery with the Rev. Fay Wing of
Woodland officiating.
