He had not been ill and death was entirely unexpected. He was born in Kalamazoo, March 10, 1880, and lived there until three years of age when his mother bought a home in Saranac and moved here. When a young boy he was seriously ill with scarlet fever which left him afflicted and while he never was himself again he assisted his mother in every way he could until her passing in August, 1939. After her death he lived in the home alone until about six weeks ago when he was removed to the infirmary. The body was taken to Sisson’s Funeral home where services were held Monday morning at ten o’clock. Rev. Frank Loomis officiated and burial was in Saranac cemetery. He had no relatives surviving excepting five cousins living away. Bearers were Gerald Adgate, Robert Brown, James Wallington, James Scott, Elmer Thompson and O.H. Monks.
