Daniel Acker, 45, died at the American legion hospital in Battle Creek Tuesday 
evening June 18 where he was taken six months age for tuberculosis treatment.  
Mr. Acker was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Acker of Ionia and had been a 
resident of the county all his life working as a farm laborer.  When an infant 
his mother died and he spent the first 19 years of his life with his uncle and 
aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Shilton.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Boynton funeral chapel Friday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. A. L. Bingaman officiating.  Interment at 
Tuttle cemetery.
