Weekly Standard - Friday, Sept. 7, 1906

A letter received Tuesday by Ed. Barber, from his daughter, Mrs. Arthur Acker 
of Los Angeles, gives notice of the death of Mrs. Frank Acker, who will be 
remembered by many as a former resident of Ionia. She was killed by a street 
car - stepping in front of one to avert being run over by another. The 
accident occurred on Sunday, August 26, and death was almost instantaneous.
