Clemens following a heart attack. He operated a meat market here for several years and also one at Hastings for about ten years before going to Mt. Clemens. While at Hastings he also operated the Pleasant Point restaurant and motel for about three years. At the time of his death he was operating a motel at Mt. Clemens and was associated in a real estate company there. Surviving are his children, Clare, Carolyn, twins Bonna and Donna, Dennis and Douglas of Hastings; his father Cecil of Grand Rapids; one brother and four sisters. Funeral services and burial was at Breckenridge. Mr. Acker was a veteran of World War II with the navy and was himself a boxer and sponsored the Golden Gloves teams in the area at one time.
