William Ackerson, 76, of Clarksville died Tuesday night at 11 a.m. at the Hawley
Convalescent Home in Muir, following an illness of one year.  He had lived
around Muir and Lyons for more than 20 years and had operated a farm in the area.

He is survived by one son, Lester, of Route 1, Lyons, three grandchildren and
three sisters, all of whom live in Redwing, Minn.

Funeral services will be held from the Congregational Church in Clarksville at 2
p.m., Friday.  Interment in Clarksville cemetery.  The body will repose at the
Myers funeral home until 1 p.m. Friday.
